Dues
New Students:
are encouraged to try a few classes before committing to training. If you decide you would like to train, we require pre-payment of the first three months’ dues as a demonstration of your commitment.
(After the third month, dues are paid by the 15th of each month. There are never any contracts with Kinokawa Aikido!)
Training Dues:
for ADULTS are a very reasonable $130/month
for CHILDREN are a virtual steal at just $65/month ($50/month for a second child of the same household)
forLaw Enforcement Officers, Active Military Personnel and Students: for LEO’s, Active Military and both college and high school students dues are a pawlty $65/month.
Testing Fees:
are $25 payable when you are tested for rank advancement. (A student training frequently may test once or twice per year.) Please note, Aikido Kinokawa has ranking system which is based upon: time on the mat; individual demonstration of aptitude and ability; and most importantly the discretion of Sensei. You will not be advanced simply for the sake of advancement -to do so would serve neither your interests nor those of our dojo. If you are looking for a “black belt academy” or a dojo which promotes form over function, we encourage you to re-think your ideas about Aikido.
Kinokawa Ryu Membership:
To train regularly at the Bryn Mawr or Lehigh Valley dojos, you will need to become a member of Kinokawa Ryu Aikido. This is a separate fee from the dojo training dues noted above.
Please see the Kinokawa ryu Website for Membership information. (The annual membership fee is $50. You do not need to pay this until a few months into your training.)
